About this property

Welcome to Sconser Lodge

Sconser Lodge is a family-run hotel housed in a 19th-century hunting lodge located on the seafront near the Isle of Skye Golf Club. Its setting offers guests tranquil views of the loch, contributing to a peaceful atmosphere praised by many visitors. The lodge is easily accessible from the main road and about 27 miles from Dunvegan Castle, making it a suitable base for exploring the surrounding area.

The property features classically decorated rooms with simple yet comfortable furnishings. While there is no air conditioning or swimming pool, amenities include free Wi-Fi, free parking, and an airport shuttle service. The lodge is kid-friendly but does not accept pets. The location puts guests within reach of several well-known attractions, including the Fairy Pools, Talisker Whisky Distillery, and Sligachan Old Bridge. Actually stayed next door and was recommended to check out the bar. Very glad we did. One of my highlights of the trip was stumbling across the beautifully set and cozy loch view bar, fire going, and John giving us a whiskey tasting. Phenomenal. Would definitely try stay here if available in the future! Thanks again for the hospitality!

Such an amazing atmosphere! I didn’t stay at the Lodge, I was only at the bar, but oh my God – Everyone there is so kind, and the view from the salon is just beautiful. The owner plays records from the 60s and 70s, and it instantly transports you back in time, like stepping 50 years into the past. They have games you can play while enjoying drinks with your friends and family. I arrived too late to try the food, but it looked incredible. I’ve booked a table for tomorrow night, and I’m really looking forward to it!

Excellent stay in a beautiful location. This is a great spot on Skye, with a stunning view, but easily accessible from the main road. The food and service were both amazing. We hope to be back!

Places like this show the need for 5+ ratings. A period family home, run by the family to a level beyond mists expectations. The lodge is full of period decor. The service is wonderful. The food is truly amazing with local produce. The loch views are truly beautiful. A wonderful place offering an amazing stay. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Great location to be within Isle of Skye. Lake views right in front of the hotel is beautiful and peaceful. Dinner was the absolute standout of this place. Ingredients tasted fresh, special and very local. The drinks from ales, beers to whisky were very much needed at the end of a long hiking day. Friendly hosts and very inviting atmosphere in the lounge and dining hall. Place is full of character and truly a special one on Skye. Rooms are also clean, quiet and heated water also available readily.

Our stay at Sconser Lodge was the lodging highlight of our recent 3-week trip to Ireland and the UK. The property is lovely, cozy, and has an amazing view. The family innkeeping team of Lisa and Craig along with Norrie were so kind and the service was exceptional. Craig is a fabulous chef and his son Alfie makes an amazing sticky toffee pudding! Our room was perfect for our two-night stay. Highly, highly recommend and we hope to come back for a longer stay!

Stayed at Sconsor Lodge for our recent trip. We arrived to find the property temporarily closed, which caught us off guard, so we went for coffee nearby (not much around, but that isolation is part of the charm). Once we returned, we were warmly welcomed by the family who runs the lodge. The place has a charming atmosphere, and they ask early if you'll be joining them for dinner, although there's always space for everyone. It was nice, but not exceptional—especially considering the slightly high price compared to some nearby options that appeared nicer. Overall, we ended up cutting our stay short.
